We have an exciting new vacancy for an Assistant Quarry Manager to join and help effectively manage and coordinate production at our Coldstones Quarry, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate HG3 5JQ. As the Assistant Manager, you will assist in managing the day-to-day production operations of our limestone quarry. The site has recently undergone a full replant, replacing and reinstating a brand-new crushing and screening plant and associated infrastructure, providing a great opportunity to be part of this new chapter for Coldstones Quarry.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Assist the Unit Manager in applying, implementing, and ensuring compliance with the company’s H&S rules and current legislation.
- Optimize utilization of site resources, including labor.
- Plan effectively to meet daily targets at optimum cost.
- Supervise employees and contractors on site to ensure compliance with safe working practices.
- Support management, control, and coordination of maintenance for fixed and mobile plant to maximize equipment uptime.
- Implement and manage maintenance schemes for the new processing plant.
- Ensure financial targets within the budget are met.
