Atlas SEO is a digital marketing agency specialising in high-end link building and content production. The company was founded in January 2020, and we have enjoyed excellent growth since. We currently have over 40 people in our offices and are undergoing a significant period of expansion, looking to double that before the year ends!

We are hiring a Senior Content Editor for the AUS/NZ Sports Markets. This is an in-office position β€” we are located just 5 minutes from Norwich train station, on Rose Lane.

As a Senior Content Editor, you will be creating and revising copy for the AUS/NZ markets, focusing on betting, news and analysis. You must be proactive, organised and deeply knowledgeable, able to handle two separate markets with freelancer support. The Senior Content Editor will be expected to progress into a Team Leader position down the line; where experience is already at an appropriate level, we may offer a Team Leader position immediately.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creation of new long-form and short-form copy for the AUS/NZ Market.
  • Sports of particular note are: Domestic and international football (soccer), Cricket, Rugby league, AFL, Golf, Tennis.
  • Ensure the style and content guides for your market are being adhered to.
  • Optimising outsourced and in-house content, preparing copy for publication, and implementing pages.
  • Evaluating the performance of the copy in your market, reporting on the effectiveness of your strategies, and proposing solutions.
  • Aligning with the SEO, Content, Design and Product teams to execute and improve our strategy.
  • Reporting into the department Head.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of the majority of the covered markets.
  • Experience in writing about sports (2 years+).
  • Familiar with processes involved in managing teams, in-house or freelance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong content-based SEO knowledge and working knowledge of other SEO principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, and a keen eye for detailed editing work.
  • Very independent and self-led - this is expected to progress into a Team Leader role in the future.
  • Above all β€” a willingness to learn and a forward-thinking approach to work!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education or professional background in writing or sports.
  • Familiarity with the AUS and NZ betting markets.
  • Familiarity with the nuances of AUS and NZ English.
