The FP&A Specialist is responsible for supporting the budget and forecasting processes of the Onitsuka Tiger EMEA business. This role involves preparing financial reports and providing business/variance analysis to support periodic business performance reviews (such as store sales performance) and operational decision-making.
Accountability / Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Optimize the use of financial and business information, develop and prepare local management reports to support business decision-making.
- Perform financial report analysis before the monthly closing process, finalized by the local accounting team.
- Analyze monthly/quarterly P&L, Profit Contribution, and other reports; discuss deviations from the budget with relevant business managers; monitor and discuss action plans to address negative deviations.
- Serve as the local planning Coordinator, responsible for the internal planning calendar (budget, forecast, mid-term financial plan).
- Support local and OHQ business teams during the planning process with tools, reviewing, and questioning planning results.
- Maintain frequent communication with business functions to drive strategy and achieve targets.
- Conduct periodic forecasting and gap analysis to compare actual results against plans to meet the bottom line.
- Coordinate with the OHQ finance team on finance-related activities.
- Assist local/OHQ teams with daily and ad-hoc finance requests.
- Address special issues such as Impairment, Leases, M&A, and Provisions.
- Ensure correct and accurate execution of J-Sox internal controls.
- Process invoices and payments to maintain smooth cash flow; analyze financial data to manage budgets and suggest cost reductions.
- Support additional tasks as needed and requested.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, or Planning.
- Experience in retail or the fashion industry preferred.
- Experience with SAP system is preferred.
- Strong analytical and process-oriented skills.
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Self-confident and results-driven.
- Teamwork and open-minded attitude.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
