As the Route Development Manager you’ll use your talents to create innovative solutions and shape the future across our business. Are you a driven professional with a passion for logistics and trade lane growth? We are seeking a Route Development Manager (RDM) to spearhead our Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) growth initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will act as the commercial driver for specific trade lanes, steering sales into targeted markets and opportunities, while developing robust product offerings to enhance market share and profitability.
Key Activities:
- Drive targeted growth in FCL and LCL volumes within assigned trade lanes.
- Develop and manage a solid sales pipeline and trade intelligence for specific markets.
- Organise and enhance sales knowledge related to trade lanes, producing detailed reports on import/export processes and timelines.
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Regional Product Capacity Management (RPCM), Regional Operations Control Center (ROCC), and overseas Route Development Managers (RDMs).
- Oversee procurement and carrier management for specific trade lanes.
- Coach and support new colleagues and Operations and Ocean Pricing teams.
Skills and Experience:
- Broad understanding of specific trade lanes and proven experience in carrier procurement.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in face-to-face customer and carrier meetings.
- Ability to analyse complex data and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software applications.
- Experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related Industry.
- Full clean driving license is essential.
