This Prototype Battery Build Technician position is within the Engineering Operations EO10 team. A supporting role providing steerage and leadership to the team of Prototype Battery Builders on the shopfloor. The area supports new build activity, rework of failed and modified units. The role will currently flex (and not be limited) between Stack, Pack and BEM builds as required.

- Promote Health and Safety best practices at all times
- Attend Team Brief and report issues back to Group Leader
- Ensure 5S standards are maintained
- Raise/ respond to any issues in a timely manner
- Perform manual handling tasks and assist material handlers where required
- Resolution of parts related issues
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager as may be reasonably requested
What You’ll Need
Along with your ambition to achieve the exceptional, there are several skills that you’ll need to have to help you succeed here, including:
- Functional Skills Level 3 or equivalent in English, Maths and Science
- Completion of a full-time indentured Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in an engineering related field
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Excel competency to produce plans, reports, presentations etc.
- Ability to mentor and train others
- Awareness of 5S, AGILE and LEAN Methodologies, Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), Safety Behavioural Index (SBI), Concern and Countermeasure Action Report (CCAR), Leadership Achievement Measures (LAMS), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Risk Assessment (RA), Single Point Lesson (SPL)
