We are currently seeking a highly skilled Application Support & Governance Consultant to join a prestigious banking end client based in Central London. This is a fully on-site position and will play a key role in supporting and governing the client's print environment, ensuring stability, compliance, and future readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Application Manager for print-related mnemonics (EQC, KAS, NUA, RMT, RTN), overseeing maintenance, uptime, and resolution of critical issues.
- Lead incident management for print-related issues, including troubleshooting, MIM response, diagnostics, and stakeholder communications.
- Monitor the print environment proactively to detect and mitigate issues before they impact operations.
- Address infrastructure vulnerabilities related to print services, ensuring full security and compliance.
- Manage updates, patches, and firmware upgrades across the print infrastructure.
- Drive the migration from brownfield to greenfield environments, including PtX transition.
- Oversee and coordinate the Admin team on-site to maintain print operations.
- Collaborate with application teams to minimise internal application print jobs and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Gather and deliver key business requirements for new tools, as well as security and regulatory compliance.
- Develop business cases and technical feasibility studies for the migration of the print environment to the cloud, including benefit analysis and cost neutrality evaluation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong background in Application Support/Management within banking or regulated environments.
- Proven expertise in print services management, especially across complex, enterprise-level environments.
- Hands-on experience with incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Solid understanding of compliance, security standards, and patch management.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
- Experience in migration projects, particularly from on-prem to cloud (beneficial).
