Job Purpose
The role of the Sales Controller is to be responsible for the sale and control of vehicles through the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell the maximum number of vehicles using an effective sales process while achieving optimal profit.
- Maximise sales opportunities for all manufacturer products and services, including accessories, warranties, service, and finance.
- Plan and organise daily selling activities to create additional sales opportunities.
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers to foster relationships for potential repeat business.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other teams to deliver high-quality customer service.
- Accurately appraise all vehicles offered for part exchange, agree on a price with the customer and Sales Manager.
- Manage the preparation and handover of sold vehicles, ensuring customers are briefed on vehicle operation and introduced to aftersales staff.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge of all products, accessories, and key competitor features.
- Keep all customer information, sales activities, vehicle documentation, and relevant data accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain the showroom environment and external displays to standards.
