The Role: As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for evolving and building a high-performance, secure, and compliant Digital Platform that meets availability requirements. You will also oversee change management processes to optimize release frequency, lead times, and incident resolution.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Document and automate existing processes using custom or third-party software tools.
- Build, operate, and optimize cloud infrastructure in Azure, including SaaS components like Salesforce.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams on development recommendations.
- Coordinate with internal service providers and product teams to enhance speed and reliability, including CICD processes.
- Work with security teams to implement security policies efficiently.
- Design and operate monitoring and alerting systems for complex applications.
- Create comprehensive documentation and repeatable processes.
- Automate operational tasks such as deployments and upgrades.
- Diagnose issues across multiple systems in collaboration with developers.
- Ensure lifecycle management for monitoring, alerting, and software products.
- Follow agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
Requirements:
- Experience with Salesforce environments, preferably with Copado for CI/CD.
- Proven experience with cloud PaaS, especially Azure.
- Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
- Strong programming skills in C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
- Experience with infrastructure platforms and services like Azure, Nginx, HAProxy, etc.
- Knowledge of containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and managing large-scale software estates.
- Understanding of networking protocols and cloud network design.
- Strong database knowledge across relational, graph, and document models.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
