Ocean Infinity is seeking a Project Controller to strengthen Ocean Infinity’s Finance team and improve financial control of external and internal projects. This role requires a good understanding of project accounting, cost control processes, and good analytical skills. This new position will be part of the Finance team and will report to the FP&A Lead.
What will you do:
- Project Control
- Work with and guide the Project Managers (PM) to ensure correct valuation of projects and understand the financial impacts of different events related to the projects;
- Participate in project meetings to provide financial insights and updates;
- Weekly review meetings with the PM’s to go over the status and timeline of the projects. Summarize this in a weekly report with comments on special events and deviations;
- Work closely with the international project control team;
- Assist in the monthly valuation of the projects;
- Project cash flow management;
- Assist with analysis of the projects, departments and overall business;
- Prepare and present financial reports with revenue and cost variances compared to budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with annual budgets and forecasts. Support the department leads in the budget process;
- Assist in month end and year end closings with analysis, preparations and documentations;
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Who you are:
- Part qualified / studying CIMA or ACCA;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, cost control, financial analysis, or related field;
- Experience in working with projects or project accounting is advantageous;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (Microsoft Excel, Power BI);
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
- Open and receptive to new and different ideas;
- Ability to work well in a team and independently;
- Some travel might be required.
Salary for this position: up to £40,000 per annum. The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
