We are excited to partner with a dynamic, high-growth Technology business in Hertfordshire to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive accountant with an entrepreneurial attitude, eager to contribute to a forward-thinking company. You’ll manage P&L, oversee month-end reporting, and drive process improvements across multiple international entities, helping to build a top-tier finance function within a rapidly growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries and allocations
- Prepare financial statements, month-end reports, and provide first-level commentary
- Ensure timely completion and review of Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Manage intercompany balances across multiple entities
- Oversee the year-end audit process and promptly address audit requests
- Ensure accurate disclosures for annual reports and statutory accounts
- Collaborate with the commercial team to verify project revenue, costs, and profitability
- Review WIP reports for accuracy, analysis, and variance explanations
- Enhance global record-to-report processes for efficiency and compliance
- Partner with departments to ensure smooth information flow and financial accuracy
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar finance role
- Experience in managing external audits and working with EMEA/NORDIC regions
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability to change
