Working Pattern: 12-month Fixed Term Contract or Secondment | Full Time| Flexible First options available The role We’re looking for a Programme Delivery Lead to play a key role in delivering our ambitious transformation portfolio. You’ll work across business and project teams to ensure that change is implemented smoothly, successfully, and with long-term impact. This is a strategic role for a confident leader who thrives in complex environments and can bring structure, clarity, and focus to high-value programmes. You will Provide strategic leadership across our transformation and people programmes, with specific focus on people change and readiness and aligning delivery with agreed benefits and business outcomes. Lead all aspect of programme management, ensuring the plan and all activities are coordinated and monitored for successful transition into business-as-usual. Deliver using adaptive methodologies, maintaining effective controls and stakeholder communication. Manage benefits realisation, keeping business cases relevant and ensuring programme outputs translate to operational improvements. Oversee change implementation, ensuring new capabilities integrate seamlessly with business operations through structured planning and communication. You have Proven success in leading complex, technology and people related multi-project delivery using various methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, MSP, PRINCE2), with strong end-to-end project lifecycle experience and a track record of managing matrix teams and third-party suppliers. An understanding of SSEN Distribution’s regulatory environment and commercial drivers, combined with solid budget management and financial oversight capabilities. Background in people management or technical leadership, with a clear grasp of how digital transformation impacts people and processes, and the ability to guide teams through change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to build effective stakeholder relationships, influence decision-making, and foster collaboration across diverse, geographically distributed teams. Knowledge of IT and technology impacts on business operations (especially field-based roles), with awareness of key compliance areas (e.g. HR legislation, data protection, anti-bribery), and a structured, analytical approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
