Veritas NetBackup Administrator - Active TS/SCI Clearance Required

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Veritas System Administrator. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with hands-on engineering and testing experience in virtualized environments. This role requires a skilled technician with expertise in infrastructure automation, network operations, DevOps pipelines, and commercial cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate, maintain, and manage the Veritas NetBackup application across multiple environments.
2. Ensure compliance with DoD Cybersecurity standards through patching and configuration using DISA STIGs.
3. Provide technical input and complete development, deployment, and configuration tasks for the operational environment.
4. Monitor backup jobs across multiple platforms and perform periodic disaster recovery scenarios.
5. Maintain backup policies, standards, and equipment, including servers and disk storage devices.
6. Manage and execute complex database backups, particularly in SQL and Oracle environments.
7. Create and maintain documentation and follow ITIL and industry best practices for Change Management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor\’s degree with 8-12 years of system administration experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
2. IAT II Baseline Certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP). Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain CI/POLY.
3. 5+ years’ experience with Veritas NetBackup 8.x or greater.
4. 5+ years’ experience with MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments.
5. 2+ years’ experience with VMware 7.x or greater.
6. 2+ years’ experience with IP-based network communication.
7. Experience with Windows Server 2019, RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and higher.
8. Proficiency in Windows PowerShell and Bash shell scripting.
9. Experience with NetBackup data protection and VMware Backup.
10. Strong CLI skills and understanding of TCP/IP communications.
11. Excellent documentation skills and a collaborative team player.
