About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity within a multi-billion turnover business based near Reading. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can come in and just add value!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support with balance sheet accounting and assurance.
  • Manage all statutory accounting and reporting.
  • Oversee systems and process transformations.
  • Lead compliance, risk management, and controllership.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasts, and variance reporting.
  • Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Research and resolve technical accounting issues.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Manage tax filings and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet controls, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliations, and identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Implement processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of balance sheet management and reporting.
  • Assist in building a high-performing finance function.
  • Build reports and manage data sets using Excel.
Requirements:
  • ACA Qualified or equivalent with strong academics.
  • Proven experience leading a sizable finance team.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, balance sheet control, and financial processes.
