Villanova University’s Strategic Initiative for Migrants and Refugees (“the SIG”) is working on a research project to identify and scale innovative models in immigration legal services, including building the enabling environment to expand the Department of Justice-Recognized Organization and Accredited Representatives program (“R+A”). In 2024, the SIG partnered with the Center for Migration Studies of New York to launch the first-ever national study of the R+A practitioners.
We are currently looking for support from a data analyst to work with a senior researcher to clean/recode data files from two Qualtrics surveys and create data visualizations of the recoded data files. Before accessing the data, the research assistant will take CITI training (about 3-5 hours) or have existing IRB clearances. The position is virtual – you do not need to work from campus.
Timeline: The research team projects 8-10 hours of work per week, conducted over 6-8 weeks in February-April 2025.
Salary: The data analyst will be a Graduate Research Assistant for the Strategic Initiative for Migrants and Refugees, compensated at $18/hour.

Requirements:
- Experience using Stata to clean and recode raw survey data, and to produce tables, figures, and other visualizations.
