Free Cooking Program for Young People with SEND Posted: 17th September, 2024 Our current free program is a cookery training course for young people aged 11-25 living in Southwark with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities hosted in our large commercial kitchen in SE16 3UQ. Bermondsey Community Kitchen Bermondsey Community Kitchen is a local community group operating for the past 10 years supporting the local community with a variety of food-based programs. The program will run on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 4-8pm. Please be aware that participants need to be able to reach our kitchen, which is on the first floor via two flights of steps. The program will focus on teaching the young people new cookery skills. It is essential to meet with the young person’s parent or carer to better understand their needs and settle them into the sessions (usually around 3 sessions) before they can attend independently.
