Graduate Reliability and Functional Safety Engineers PDSVISION in the UK is a multi-disciplined systems engineering consultancy, software channel partner and training provider with offices in Cambridge, Manchester and Edinburgh, helping engineering companies transform how they both develop products and manufacturing processes and manage risks during operation. We are a member of the PDSVISION, a fast-growing international provider of engineering services and software, with 500 staff and operations in the UK, EMEA, SEA and USA. Within the PDSVISION, our UK team leads our Global Centre of Excellence for Systems Engineering, including Functional Safety and Reliability Analysis, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). We provide extensive implementation, consulting and training services to support client objectives and strengthen their in-house capabilities. What We Are Looking For To support our continued growth at over 20% annually, we are seeking Graduate Engineers to further strengthen our Systems Engineering services capability. If appointed, you will initially join a dedicated PDSVISION solution team providing dependability consultancy to a strategic client undertaking a long-term national infrastructure project within nuclear engineering. To deliver against the project’s requirements, it is essential that dependability is considered early in the development process, to ensure that operational availability and safety goals are met for the life of the facility. Consequently, with training and continual mentoring, you will assist the implementation of risk management-based dependability principles, focusing on either Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M) or Functional Safety. Minimum Requirements: Degree in an appropriate engineering or similar subject. Experience applying statistical principles to engineering problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present solutions clearly and convincingly to large and small, technical and non-technical, audiences at a senior level. Self-motivation and the drive to achieve objectives. A systems thinking mindset. Good team-player. Developing system reliability models, such as RBD or Markov chains. Undertaking qualitative and quantitative safety analysis, including FTA and LOPA. Calculating MTBF values from a range of data sources. Knowledge of systematic risk assessment techniques such as FMEA, HAZID and HAZOP. Using specialist reliability engineering software, such as ReliaSoft or Isograph. Due to the nature of the project work, you will need to be a British National and be able to achieve the necessary security clearances. If you are a recent graduate or completing your undergraduate studies by summer 2025, with a passion for systems engineering, interested in working within a dynamic, thriving, customer-focused consulting environment and believe you meet the above essential criteria…we would love to hear from you! We offer: We offer a professional, collaborative and enjoyable working environment, an international outlook and a supportive culture, positively engaged with flexible working through use of Teams and other cloud-based systems. You will have opportunities to meet and work alongside international colleagues, including networking during annual internal conferences. Performance-related bonus scheme. 25 days (plus 8 statutory) paid holidays per year. Private medical insurance, health plan and pension schemes. Bike-to-Work Scheme. A friendly, supportive and respectful culture, offering stimulating and rewarding work of great variety and impact. Commitment to Continuing Professional Development. Paid annual membership fees for a relevant institution, including support to optionally reach/maintain Chartered status. Structured and exciting career opportunities within a fast-growing, international group of digital transformation companies. As a company, we embrace hybrid and home working as well as having offices in Manchester and Cambridge you may choose to use on occasion. Please note that, at least initially, you will be required to work a minimum of 2 days per week on-site with our project team in Warrington or another suitable location as negotiated. Alternatively, please submit your resume via the form below. Please also contact us at the above email address to arrange an informal discussion regarding the opportunity and PDSVISION UK as a company. #J-18808-Ljbffr
