The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

As People Partner, you will be responsible for providing an impactful, high-quality strategic people partner service to your business area that aligns with the business, meets customer needs and drives achievement of commercial business objectives ensuring actions are aligned with policies and cultural values. As this is a 9 month fixed term contract the successful candidate would need to join us within 1 month of offer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a strategic People Partnering service to your area and to the business focused on impactful contribution and value-adding activity to underpin business strategy and goals, e.g., change management, improving absence, attrition, spotting talent, performance management, working with talent acquisition and development.
  • Design and develop strategic People Plans aligned to the business and corporate strategic priorities.
  • Work with the People Partnering network & People Services Centres of Excellence to ensure an integrated and joined-up approach of activity in support of your business area.
  • Provide expert consultancy to support/accelerate the achievement of business plans & objectives through defining and remedying people related challenges, risks, barriers and gaps.
  • Continuously improve and develop own skills and capability, and support stakeholders to develop and implement performance management strategies.
  • Support your business area to help drive improvement in employee engagement that has a positive impact on morale, retention, productivity and the Great Places to Work results.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with leaders within your area and other stakeholders to become a trusted partner.
  • Demonstrate credibility and competence to enhance stakeholder confidence of the People Partner network, providing a platform to consult, advise and influence in the development of commercially impactful change/improvement.
  • Develop a good understanding of the stakeholder business area and support the delivery of business objectives, priorities and plans from a people perspective.
  • Act as an ambassador for the People Services function and custodians of its culture, embedding Admiral’s culture with our leaders and colleagues ensuring that we uphold the four pillars of “Communication, Equality, Reward and Recognition and Fun.”
  • Influencing the business to follow our lead in living and breathing Admiral’s culture and values.
  • Provide diagnostic skills (including the use of data, metrics and other insights) to develop proposals that facilitate the achievement of local area plans and organisation goals.
  • Use people data effectively to make informed business decisions and forecast longer term business needs and trends.

Experience We Are Looking For

  • Generalist HR Experience in a demanding fast paced generalist role Business Partner model background.
  • Chartered CIPD or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to demonstrate Admiral’s values, treating colleagues equally and fairly with kindness and respect.
  • Ability to remain tactful and diplomatic whilst asking effective questions to establish information and fact.
  • Confidence in making decisions and objectively justifying them.
  • Confidence in working independently but skilled at collaboration to deliver results.
  • Working knowledge of Employment Law and of current HR best practice, trends, and changes.
  • Proven ability to develop and effectively manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting management with employee engagement initiatives.
