We have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Senior Marketing Manager to come and work as part of our marketing team where you\’ll have the chance to champion and lead our education marketing. We\’re looking for an experienced marketer with an education and/or publishing background, ready to jump into a new position where you can get started quickly and make a real impact. You\’ll hit the ground running, delivering multi-channel marketing activity for DK Learning including our imprint Phonic Books. You\’ll be passionate about promoting literacy and learning and getting books into children\’s hands – whether they are just starting out with phonics or needing support at GCSE. You\’ll be able to demonstrate that you\’re ready to help grow our business by engaging and supporting teachers and parents in helping children develop the skills they need to become lifelong readers. This is a dynamic role where your days will be varied and impactful. You will: Develop and implement DK Learning\’s marketing strategy alongside senior stakeholders, focusing on driving engagement through print, social media, email marketing, and video content creation. Proactively seek out new markets and audiences and connect with them. Plan and execute campaigns to drive direct revenue and sales leads, while collaborating as a key stakeholder within the wider marketing team. Manage a team (with potential for growth) and provide effective leadership and guidance. Ensure all materials produced by internal and external teams are delivered on time, within budget, and effectively promote the brand and values of the business. Measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, providing timely insights to senior stakeholders. Demonstrate a solid understanding of market needs and challenges to generate customer-centric propositions. Develop strategies to refine campaigns and future plans, utilising data, market research, and competitor insights. Essential Skills To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate: Practical experience of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns within a fast-paced organisation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively to cross-functional teams. Line management experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team. A strong understanding of the education landscape and schools market needs, both within and beyond the UK. Experience in education publishing, digital, and print marketing. A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to develop and own a marketing channel. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Desirable Skills The ideal candidate will also have: A genuine enthusiasm for learning materials and the publishing sector. Awareness of the US education market. The ability to quickly learn and adapt to different marketing channels and strategies. A flexible approach to working across long-term projects mixed with short deadlines.
