We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Directorate Operations Team as a Project Support Officer / Personal Assistant (PA) to the Deputy National Director of Health Protection and Screening Services (HPSS). This is a busy and varied role, providing professional, efficient, and comprehensive project support. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and able to work to a high standard with a flexible, ‘can do’ attitude. Strong project support experience and excellent organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a dynamic and varied workload.

Main Duties Of The Job:

  • Providing high-quality project support and administrative assistance.
  • Supporting high-level meetings: scheduling, agenda preparation, distribution of papers, and formal minute-taking.
  • Managing aspects of the Deputy Director’s diary.
  • Liaising effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicating clearly, professionally, and confidently both in writing and verbally.
  • Working independently and managing priorities under pressure.
  • Provide cover during periods of absence for the Executive Assistant to the National Director of HPSS/Medical Director.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in a similar PA or project support role.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other administrative tools.
