Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level in a dynamic and vital sector? Prax Group is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support the financial and operational performance of Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery. This is a high-impact role where strategic thinking meets hands-on execution. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, providing critical financial insights that drive performance, efficiency, and growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead monthly and quarterly reporting for both Site and Group Leadership Teams. Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and highlight risks and opportunities. Monitor key financial KPIs to ensure alignment with refinery goals. Oversee month-end activities including hedge reconciliation, accrual reviews, pricing validation, and system reconciliations.
- Business Partnering: Be a trusted advisor to operational leaders, offering financial insights that shape key decisions. Collaborate with refinery management to drive cost control and operational efficiency. Present financial data in a clear, actionable format to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- 10+ years in finance within oil & gas, energy, or manufacturing—ideally in a refinery or petrochemical setting.
- Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proven ability to partner with non-financial stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise.
- ERP experience (SAP or similar).
Personal Attributes:
- Analytical mindset with a knack for translating data into insights.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
