Our client is a UK wide network supplier of ultrafast internet and fibre services to businesses. This role will be working on the installation of customer Fibre connections and Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) like Cat 6 cabling, switches, access points (APs), and routers.
Salary: £180 to £200 per day

Description:
As an Installation Engineer, you will report to the Installation Manager. You will be focused on the successful installation, maintenance, and fault resolution of ultrafast internet connections and active equipment into customer premises/offices, mainly in the London region but also across the South of England.
You will ensure the highest levels of technical quality, personal behaviour, and company representation to the customer.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Installation of wireless and fibre internet connections.
- Physical installation of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) such as routers and switches, to Wi-Fi access points and structured cabling (Cat 6).
- Occasional on-site surveys.
- Work closely with the Network Operations Centre to ensure availability of customer connections and core infrastructure.
- Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
- Develop self and always maintain knowledge in relevant engineering topics.
Experience, Skills and Requirements:
- Have your own van/tools and be able to travel, if needed, throughout the UK for specific jobs (Expenses covered).
- Experience in the installation & commissioning of fibre and structured cabling for network and Wi-Fi solutions.
- Basic networking understanding.
- Fibre and copper termination.
- Fault finding capabilities on copper and fibre systems.
- Teamwork and providing excellent customer service.
