We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspirational Early Years Practitioner to join our experienced team at this unique provision.
Moat House PRU supports students 14-19 years of age (with a specialism in young parents) to access relevant and aspirational qualifications, mental health and wellbeing support and education. Our welcoming, nurturing approach enables students of all abilities and genders to feel safe and have a sense of belonging, allowing them to re-engage with learning. Moat House has an Ofsted registered Nursery onsite for the babies of our young parent cohort.
We are looking for a qualified Level 4 Early Years Practitioner to join our onsite Nursery who is:
- Committed to providing a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for babies and toddlers in the nursery setting
- Able to work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn
- Committed to building and maintaining strong partnerships to enable students and their child’s needs to be met
- Motivated and enthusiastic, with the power to inspire students and families
- Creative with a flexible approach
- Enthusiastic for working in partnership with support services and the local community
- Able to contribute to the development of the nursery and the curriculum
- Able to provide cover for the Nursery Manager in the event of absence
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Caring nature
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of professionals
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (or be willing to undertake the necessary training)
- IT literate
You will be joining an excellent team which has a relentless focus on raising achievement.
An understanding of current safeguarding procedures is essential.
The post will require a person who is professional, caring and who is able to adhere to our strict safeguarding procedures.
