Rayment Recruitment are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join a busy gastro pub/restaurant located in a popular village on the outskirts of Chelmsford. This popular Gastro Pub uses the best of British produce to create a fusion of great tastes and innovative culinary delights, suitable for any occasion.
The venue combines the romance and charm of an extraordinary heritage building with the comforts of contemporary living. It offers a modern restaurant with a classic open fireplace and oak beam finish in the dining room.
The Role
The ideal Junior Sous Chef should be motivated, creative, passionate about fresh food, hardworking, and a team player.
As Junior Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head and Sous Chef creating fresh, seasonal dishes for their Γ la carte restaurant. You will also train and mentor junior members of the brigade.
You must have proven previous Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef experience within a fresh food establishment and be able to take control of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

- Passion for high-level cuisine and excellent food presentation
- Ability to work in a team and use initiative
- Innovative ideas and concepts
