Surgical First Assistant (SFA)

As a Surgical First Assistant you will be a fully qualified practitioner with extensive experience in ENT operations. Preparing the patient for surgery. Confidently handle the tissue and manipulation of organs for access. Use retractors competently under the supervision of the surgeon. Be able to cut deep sutures and ligatures. Assist with wound closure where directed. Apply dressings where required. Requirements: You must be an Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with full NMC/HCPC registration. A Post-graduate qualification as a Surgical First Assistant. At least 6-months of UK experience as a Scrub/SFA. Extensive specialist experience in ENT surgeries.
