Quality Controller

Are you passionate about quality, product integrity, and making a real difference in the fresh produce industry? We are looking for a dynamic QC to join the Technical team, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, legality, and quality across their product range.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct detailed incoming product assessments, delivering timely, accurate data to support decision-making.
2. Carry out positive release checks to ensure finished products meet customer specifications.
3. Perform internal audits, shelf life testing, and calibration of QA equipment.
4. Provide clear product guidance and support to production teams, promoting understanding of customer requirements.
5. Maintain efficient documentation and assist in ripening duties when required.
6. Deputise for other QA team members as needed, supporting flexibility and team coverage.

What We\’re Looking For:

1. Experience in a QA / QC role within fresh produce is highly desirable – citrus, topfruit and berries in particular.
2. Strong understanding of customer specifications and product quality standards.
3. Knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and Health & Safety procedures.
4. Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer skills.
5. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a \”can-do\” attitude.
6. A flexible team player, confident working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
