For temporary employment of 12 months , Rocket Factory Augsburg AG in Rocket Factory Ltd. is looking for a Welder (m/f/d) UK/Shetlands Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated welder (f/m/d) in the UK. This is a rare opportunity to be involved in building and operation of the UK’s first vertical launch site. You will help lead the fabrication, installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems at our Launch site on the Shetland Islands, with the opportunity to travel to our other sites across Europe should the need arise. You will have the choice of either being based at the launch site in Unst, or working on a rotation pattern. If you enjoy working in a dynamic and international team of dedicated people, then apply. Your Tasks Proficient in TIG, MIG and Stick welding Circumferential welding of thin metal, copper, and high-alloy steel Welding of high pressure pipes up to 300 bar Carry out weld inspections Preparation of components (weld preparation) Production of prototypes Carry out repair welding Set up welding equipment and check the welding process Work closely with engineers through the design process to ensure designs are optimized for fabrication Your Qualifications Apprenticeship as a welder, industrial mechanic or a comparable qualification Professional experience in TIG and MIG welding, especially in TIG welding of non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum) Welding qualification to BS EN ISO 9606-1 and 9606-2 desirable Experience in operating metalworking machines and equipment MEWP and forklift license are desirable CSCS green card is desirable Fluent oral and written English (all day-to-day activities are performed in English) Independent and structured way of working Experience on UK construction sites is desirable Willing to work outdoors and in a remote location We will expect applicants to share examples images of previous welding and fabrication work We offer Atmosphere: Experience life in an international & dynamic New Space start-up Flexibility: Fit your working schedule to your needs with flexible working hours Home Office: Full-time employees benefit from 1 day per week home office Health: Sweat, stretch or squat it out with WellPass, a training app which connects you to thousands of gyms and studios Paid Time Off: 30 days annual leave and special leave days RFA Family: Join our regular company and team events and become part of the RFA family Parking: Free parking for your car and your bike #J-18808-Ljbffr
