The role:
The Team Lead for the RF & Antenna Team will be responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of complex RF systems within the UK defence industry. This role combines technical expertise in RF design (30MHz to 30GHz) with leadership and project management, overseeing a high-performing team to deliver innovative solutions on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The position offers career progression in both technical and leadership pathways.
What we want from you:
- Provide both technical and functional leadership, inspiring and driving high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated experience in RF circuit design and testing at the component level across a broad frequency range (30MHz to 30GHz), including LNAs, high-power amplifiers, filters, oscillators, synthesizers, and modulators.
- Strong understanding of digital, analog, and power supply design principles.
- Proficient in using RF and antenna design tools (e.g., Microwave Office, HFSS) for design and layout.
- Extensive knowledge of modern radio transceiver system architecture and design.
