The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) provides corporate clients with advice, financing access, and execution expertise across a range of investment banking products. Role Responsibilities Associates develop and strengthen client relationships, participate in advisory teams, and execute financial transactions. Responsibilities include financial modeling, preparing client presentations, managing transaction processes, and structuring transactions. They gain exposure to various businesses and develop analytical, communication, and marketing skills. Associates perform company valuations, assist in M&A transactions, and fixed income and equity issuances. They prepare presentations on industry trends, assess client situations, and recommend strategies. They coordinate with tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers, lead due diligence, and participate in legal negotiations. Associates are vital to Goldman Sachs\’ investment banking operations.
