Procurement Specialist

A Day in the Life Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) team members are seasoned professionals with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain and experience across multiple disciplines. They partner with hospital management teams and payers to drive transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways, and optimize operations. Within IHS Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), as part of the Procurement and Supplier Management (PSM) team, you will primarily support the UK market, sourcing medical products and services for IHS Managed Cath Labs and Theatres. This remote role, based in the UK, involves managing strategic sourcing, handling operational issues, and working closely with hospitals and strategic suppliers, including competitors in the medical device sector. Travel is approximately 25%, mainly in London but also internationally. Responsibilities may include: Managing stakeholder demands and ensuring needs are met, including on-time account go-lives Disseminating information and providing training on purchasing and supply management policies within Medtronic Maintaining and analyzing pricing, conducting negotiations Establishing sourcing strategies for each market, balancing cost, stock allocation, and other factors Managing supplier relationships to ensure supply continuity Providing professional support and communication regarding sourcing of goods and services Consulting with clients on clinical strategy and materials management support Required Knowledge and Experience: Strong Excel skills for data analysis Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or healthcare Experience in contract management and sourcing, preferably in healthcare Several years of work in a large or multinational hospital or company, ideally in a Cath lab or Theatre environment, with a focus on procurement data analysis Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with ability to influence and negotiate Project management skills and result-oriented influencing Physical Job Requirements: The above describes general responsibilities but is not exhaustive of all duties and skills required.
