Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our market leading manufacturing client with their search for a Design Engineer.
Overall Purpose
- The Design Engineer reports directly to the Head of Engineering and is supervised by a Lead Engineer. They support new product development and engineering change activities.
- The role is varied and mainly consists of CAD design, the creation of supporting documentation, prototype building and testing. In addition, the design engineer also displays creativity and innovation and will support and develop new patent protectable technologies.
- The Design Engineer is also required to display project engineering skills managing their time, resources and supporting the project administration.
Key Duties
- Design and develop new products and systems.?
- Support the Senior/Lead Design Engineer in the development of new products.?
- Create and maintain 3D & 2D data.?
- Provide technical expertise.?
- Support research and benchmarking on competitor products and products which could be developed in the future.
- Support the research and identification of new technologies and materials.?
- Coordinate with key stakeholders internal and external.?
- Communicate and present development project status at department level.?
- Participate in prototype builds and testing.?
- Support engineering change activities.

The Package
- £40,000 – £45 per annum.
- 40 hours/week with some flexibility on start/finish times.
