Senior / Principal Highways Engineer

Access Talent Group are recruiting for an independent and innovative transport planning, infrastructure engineering and flood risk consultancy, specialising in development planning work for private and public sector clients across the UK. They are looking to bring in a Senior Highways Engineer to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Independently using design software, including AutoCAD (2D Design), Microdrainage / WinDes, & Civil 3D (3D Design).
2. Knowledge of Design manual for road and bridges with experience in using the standards within design for Local Highway authorities / National Highways.
3. Manage the S278 and S38 legal agreements process and guide clients from initial appointment to signing of the agreement of construction.
4. Technical ownership of the production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents.
5. Managing appropriate projects with full liaison with clients and third parties.
6. Responsible for planning and reviewing the production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents by others.
7. Co-ordinating with project engineers, engineering technicians and senior team.
8. Analysing technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.
9. Identifying and managing risks within areas of responsibility.
10. Complete site visits to review project constraints and the construction process as required.

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum
