Due to continual growth, Red Sky is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician or LCV Mechanic used to working on Transits and Sprinters to join a growing team in our client’s state of the art Commercial HGV Workshop.
We are seeking a HGV Commercial Technician with a passion for diagnosing and repairing complex faults, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues ensuring compliance with legislation and safety regulations. Our client, a highly established Automotive Commercial Truck Dealership Group, is looking to recruit for a Commercial Technician.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 07:00-17:00, with Saturdays and Sundays paid as overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
- Test vehicles to ensure proper functionality.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records.
- Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries.
Skills required:
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or LCV Mechanic with at least 3-4 years recent experience.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Proficiency in software diagnosis and programming for commercial vehicles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of HGVs.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment - must have own tools.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
