We are on the lookout for a hard-working and efficient logistics driver with good team working skills and attention to detail. One of our key growth channels is Events; we attend hundreds every year. As the business grows and we attend events on a much larger scale, there is now the need to build out a fleet of drivers to support in the placement of our Butternut Box and Marro set ups up and down the country in our core regions: London, Manchester, Ireland, and Scotland.
In this role, you will work closely with our fast-paced Events Team, reporting to our Logistics Manager. As a Logistics Driver, you will become an integral part of our department, ensuring that the business is set up for success at every event we attend by looking our best. This is a practical job, with a lot of time spent driving to each event ensuring our set ups are delivered on time, in full, and on brand to maximise our sales potential.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Setting up our gazebo(s), pop-up shops, or shell schemes to the highest standard on a weekly basis during our busy months.
- Ensuring the safety and security of our equipment and stands at each event.
- Taking responsibility for the care of our equipment, from handling stock at the storage unit to placing it at each set up.
- Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator for approval of each set up and break down you are responsible for.
- Building relationships with event organisers as the in-field face of Butternut Box and Marro.
- Completing training in order to understand each set up and complete to the best of your ability.
- Communicating any logistics issues to the Logistics Coordinator; e.g damages, unforeseen issues at an event, late arrivals.
- Regular visits to the local storage unit and offices for equipment checks and collection/drop off.
- Keeping the storage unit clean and tidy at all times.
- Fixing equipment like gazebos and roller banners when broken.
In this role, you can expect:
- Weekend work with a variety of hours (must be adaptable and flexible).
- 1-4 days in the field setting up and breaking down events, with the busiest day being a Sunday afternoon/evening.
A bit about you:
- Full driving license with no more than 3 points.
- A van to fit multiple setups and breakdowns at once.
- Highly organised with great time management.
- Efficient in the use of WhatsApp and Google Sheets.
- Reliable.
- Able to take great care of equipment.
