Our Client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join the team on a 12-month contract. You will have experience in Supply Chain Management to oversee and manage contractual agreements, supplier negotiations, and general procurement activities. You will play a key role in ensuring that all contracts align with organisational goals, compliance standards, and financial objectives while supporting efficient supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers. Ensure all agreements comply with legal standards and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks in contracts and propose solutions to protect the organisational interests. Maintain a repository of contracts and ensure timely renewals or terminations.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with Operations, Technical and Projects functions to support their ongoing requirements. Conduct robust due diligence on New Suppliers in line with Company procedures. Assess supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions. Support supply chain strategy by securing favourable terms and optimising supplier relationships.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment on contract terms and business goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual issues and disputes with suppliers or vendors.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure contracts comply with local, national, and industry regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular updates on contract statuses, risks, and outcomes. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain contracts and report on findings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Preferably Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field (Masters degree is a plus).
- Experience: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role within supply chain operations. Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes, including sourcing, logistics, and vendor management.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for risk assessment and contract evaluation. Proficiency in contract management software and tools (e.g., IFS). Solid knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to supply chain contracts.
- Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications such as: Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) certification. Experience in maritime and/or oil and gas industries. Familiarity with international contract regulations and cross-border supply chain management.
