Contract: Permanent, Part Time, 0.6 FTE, 22.2 Hours

Salary: £43,785 - £46,428 per annum pro rata

Location: Cardiff and Vale College

Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a Lecturer in CIPD based within the CAVC for Business team at the City Centre Campus with the expectation to cover other campuses as needed.

Job Purpose - CIPD Lecturer

The successful candidate will be responsible for subject planning, preparation, and assessment. Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking academic work such as classroom teaching, tutorial work, and student placements;
  • Handling organizational and administrative work, preparation, and marking;
  • Providing student welfare and counseling;
  • Involvement in marketing, course planning, development, and evaluation;
  • Assisting in engaging with employers for new income;
  • Monitoring student progress and learning support;
  • Performing other duties as required;
  • Welsh language skills are desirable.

About CAVC for Business

CAVC for Business includes a Business Development team and Learning and Development Solutions team. The department is responsible for college positioning with employers, delivering training, and offering accredited qualifications.

The successful candidate will have a teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one and a relevant degree.
