AA Euro Healthcare have partnered with a leading organisation to hire qualified and experienced Case Workers (relief) in Derry/L'Derry.

Requirements:

  • Third Level Qualification or equivalent in Social Care or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years’ employment experience in a similar role (e.g., homelessness)
  • Experience of supporting individuals who present with challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs
  • Up to date training certificates is a plus (HSE land certificates)
  • Full clean B driving license
  • Must be eligible to work in Northern Ireland
  • NISCC registration desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have an understanding of what supports can be offered in homeless services to promote positive futures
  • Have knowledge/experience of working with needs assessment, key working and support planning for service users
  • Have a knowledge of the statutory and voluntary sector resources available to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness
  • Understand the importance of Health and Safety standards in the delivery of services on a day-to-day basis
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory and voluntary agencies and the ability to network/liaise with all relevant bodies
  • Knowledge and willingness to work within the guidelines of our vision, mission, and values

The above list is not exhaustive; additional areas of responsibility may be added over time, and flexibility to cover for other staff roles is required from time to time. All prospective candidates will be required to undergo access NI and provide two written references.
