As a Fibre Splicer at Locktel, you will play a crucial role in our network operations team. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fibre optic cables to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our telecommunications network. Responsibilities:
- Perform splicing and termination of fibre optic cables using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Conduct testing (OTDR, ILM, IOLM and CD/PMD) and troubleshooting of fibre optic cables to ensure signal integrity and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and provide on-call support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- Driving Licence
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Relevant industry related tickets
- Results orientated, whilst maintaining ability to meet strict quality standards
- High level of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders
- Good written and verbal English skills
- Right to Work in the UK (Settlement Status)
