Interim Supply Chain & Inventory Manager Interim Supply Chain & Inventory Manager Gloucestershire region – with responsibility for multi-site teams Initial Term – 3months – [possibly up to 6months] Day rate – approx. to 450.00 p/day OR – possibly to 550.00 p/day depending on experience Summary: Our client is a market leading asset management organisation supplying a variety of industrial & commercial products across the UK & Europe. They now seek a ‘hands on’ individual with a proven track record in leading and developing an Asset Management function, with expertise to quickly understand and challenge the status quo to enhance business performance. Evaluate, shape and plan the short, medium and long term objectives of the business. Working with the Sales, Operations, Finance and ERP teams with a relentless pursuit of asset data integrity. Role summary: To ensure that product availability, location & status is accurate and available across diverse customer base. The implementation of a new ERP a review of asset management is required to fully utilise system capabilities to more effectively support current and future business requirements. Reporting to the Operations Director you will mentor and provide leadership to the team based in multiple warehouse and head office sites. Instil a ‘right first time’ mentality and championing a continuous improvement culture which positively and significantly impacts the performance of both the people and the organisation. Quickly establish a clear understanding and documented baseline of current Asset Management challenges Assess current team structure, roles & responsibilities, processes, reporting, and systems capabilities Highlight gaps and opportunities, and develop and implement practical and deliverable initiatives to create a step change in Asset Management capabilities Mentor the current team and provide Asset Management best practice Potential Extended Scope: Develop enhanced demand forecasting methodology/model which accounts for hire start and end dates, and cleaning, refurbishing and commissioning requirements alongside warehouse and resource capacity constraints Establish robust and effective asset utilisation measurement and reporting, incorporating total cost of asset ownership and informing future asset purchase requirements Define range planning and range management processes to maximise sales opportunities and optimise asset utilisation across the UK and European markets Candidate requirements: Proven experience in asset/inventory management Expertise in demand planning, forecasting and asset availability Highly analytical, commercial, numerical and action focused Strong leadership and mentoring skills with background demonstrating high level communication with key stakeholders Proven ability to identify, evaluate and implement asset management improvement initiatives Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Strong decision making and problem-solving skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
