Quantinuum is seeking to hire a Junior Front-end Engineer for our Cambridge-based cloud platform, Quantinuum Nexus. Our team aims to support the effort of quantum researchers at every stage of an experiment, making it easier for them to write, execute, and analyze the results of quantum programs run on real hardware. In this role, you will help build the front-end for a web application, transforming wireframes and UI designs into working, testable code. You will work closely with other frontend engineers and be involved in frontend feature discussions. For a candidate interested in expanding their skillset to other areas in the stack, there could be options to work on our FastAPI Python services or Rust services, as time allows. The ideal candidate will have: Experience developing web applications. Comprehensive understanding of web fundamentals (CSS, HTML, JS). Solid understanding of git version control. Experience working with TypeScript. Experience working with TailwindCSS. Experience working with React and Next.js (14+). Experience with async state management libraries such as @tanstack/query. Unit and E2E testing experience with tools like Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright. Experience with a UI library: Material UI, Ant Design, Shadcn, Radix, etc. Knowledge of semantic markup and accessibility standards (a11y, WAI-ARIA). It would be desirable to have: Interest in Quantum Computing. Experience implementing data visualization for scientific data using D3, charting libraries, etc. Experience working with backend and QA engineers. What is in it for you?
