Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician or Dispenser looking for a rewarding opportunity in primary care? Penrose Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing clinical team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
About the role...
You’ll play a key part in supporting the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of medications across our services. Working closely with our pharmacists and wider multi-disciplinary team, you’ll help manage a high volume of prescription requests and provide expert support in areas including:
- Medication and prescription workflow management
- Safe and timely medication monitoring (including bloods and drug levels)
- Handling prescription queries and processing clinical letters
- Liaising with community pharmacies, hospitals, and the wider MDT
- Supporting audits, reducing medication wastage, and contributing to cost-effective prescribing
This role is primarily based at our Nightingale site, with opportunities for working across our network of practices in South East London.
What We’re Looking For...
Must-haves:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Relevant pharmacy experience in a clinical setting (1 year as a minimum)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated and highly organised
- Commitment to continuous improvement and duty of candour
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a GP practice or primary care
- Experience using EMIS and other Microsoft-based programmes
- Community or hospital pharmacy background
- A passion for patient care and healthcare innovation
Qualifications:
- GPhC registration required (for Pharmacy Technicians only)
- Minimum GCSE-level education (or equivalent)
