If you’ve built products and led engineering efforts at a high-growth startup and you’re ready to shape a platform at the frontier of applied AI, this could be the role you’ve been waiting for.

Techmunity is hiring a Head of Engineering for one of Europe’s most respected early-stage AI startups. This is a well-funded, high-growth company already generating multi-million revenue and working with some of the world’s most admired tech brands who use their platform to accelerate personalised growth with production-grade AI.

You’ll join as the most senior engineer, leading a fast-growing team of 7, and owning a platform that’s redefining how modern B2B marketing works — combining agent-based automation with real-time campaign orchestration, dynamic asset generation, and feedback-driven optimisation. With Series A on the horizon and demand accelerating, it’s an ideal moment to join.

What You’ll Be Doing

This isn’t a process-heavy leadership role. It’s for someone who wants to stay close to the code while setting the direction. You’ll be:

  • Building product hands-on — shipping, reviewing, and deeply understanding how the system behaves
  • Owning technical strategy — from architecture to infrastructure and delivery process
  • Shaping the engineering culture — hiring, mentoring, and creating a sustainable environment for fast, safe delivery
  • Working directly with a technical co-founder and product-first CEO who care deeply about quality and velocity
  • Laying the foundations of how this engineering organisation grows — you’ll influence not just code, but how decisions get made

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React, Next.js 14, TypeScript
  • Backend: Golang, Postgres, Kafka, Redis, BigQuery
  • Cloud: AWS, Vercel

What They’re Looking For

  • A Principal or Staff-level engineer from a product-led scaleup or modern SaaS company
  • Strong fullstack experience — ideally React/TypeScript on the frontend and Go on the backend (or willingness to pick it up quickly)
  • A track record of architectural ownership, team leadership, and high-quality delivery
  • You’re comfortable building from scratch, owning outcomes, and scaling what works
  • Collaborative and product-minded — you enjoy shaping systems alongside design, product, and commercial teams
  • Clear, thoughtful communication — whether in code, docs, or feedback
  • Happy to work in a hybrid model (3 days/week in Shoreditch)
  • Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS, growth tooling, marketing tech, or building zero-to-one platforms.

The package includes an industry leading salary as well as meaningful equity that could prove to be life changing! Interviews are happening now.
