Senior IT Support Engineer in East Surrey. Hybrid working after completion of probation. £45 - 50k with benefits such as annual bonus, private health, enhanced pension and more.

This role is working directly for a telecoms service provider, which is in a continued stage of growth. They are well funded and are constantly winning new contracts with both the private and public sector. The company has over 250 headcount and offices all over the world, supplying connectivity, communication, and managed IT solutions to a range of organisations within the maritime, defence, and commercial sectors.

You’ll be joining the systems management team of 3, all customer-facing engineers, who provide hands-on technical support, administration, and management of the customer-managed IT. Around 50% of this role will be ticket resolution, and the other 50% will be project work, but this is a fluid environment.

Your background: We’re looking for a strong Microsoft-biased engineer with extensive experience working within an MSP. This role being customer-facing will suit someone with a strong service provider background. The key requirement is a strong VMware & virtualisation background. A good Windows OS background with good AD management is also necessary.

An ideal general background will include strong all-round general IT skills – Windows Desktop and Server, VMWare, Networking, 365 technologies, WiFi, Data, and Voice Communications, which is expected if you’ve worked within an MSP. The office is based in East Surrey, so you’ll need to live within a commutable distance.

Benefits package includes a yearly bonus, ongoing training and development, enhanced pensions, and 25 days plus with a flexible working week once probation is completed.
