The opportunity
We are seeking a Trainee Insurance Sales Executive to join our friendly and hard-working Personal Lines team at our town-centre offices in Wokingham, Berkshire. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a sales or customer service environment and a strong desire to build a career as an insurance professional. No previous insurance experience is required, as we provide full training and support. This role is also well-suited to individuals with some insurance background who are looking to enhance their knowledge and progress their career. We are committed to developing the right candidates, offering opportunities to pursue professional insurance qualifications up to degree-level equivalence. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Prospecting new leads in relation to personal lines insurance
- Closing the sale and ensuring cover is on risk
- Securing cross selling business and referrals
- Monitoring own sales performance in line with targets and effectively manage the client portfolio
- Handle any complaints in accordance with regulation, the Company’s Conduct Policy and Guide to Best Practice
- Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and always promote exceptional customer care standards
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and ensure expert advice in all areas of business
- Ensuring all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Policies and Guides to Best Practice
- Ensuring accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer and conducting high quality work in relation to; New Business, Renewals, Mid-term adjustments, Queries, Premium Finance Arrangements, and Issuing Cover Notes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Customer Service experience, both telephone and written
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
