Middlemore are working with a retained client to hire their first, subject matter expert for all things MI and Data Analytics, based in their London office reporting to the Head of HR.
This role is paying IRO £80,000 basic + bonus with scope to build your own dedicated team over the next 12-24 months. As an FCA regulated business they\’re seeing increasing reporting requirements, coupled with a growing focus on commercial, data-driven HR interventions, which has helped to define the need for this role.
This position will take firm-wide responsibility for people data and the delivery of accurate and comprehensive reporting and insights to the HR team and wider organisation. This will involve gathering, organising, and analysing data from various sources using a range of tools and presenting the outputs in clear meaningful reports and dashboards. This will also include supporting on compensation processes during peak activity.
The HR MI, Reporting & Systems Lead will be responsible for the management of the HR System, the people data and the delivery of accurate and comprehensive reporting and insights to the HR team and wider organisation. This will involve gathering, organising, and analysing data from various sources using a range of tools and presenting the outputs in clear meaningful reports and dashboards.
The aim is to develop an HR environment with high quality MI to support business strategies, with better and faster decisions informed by data. You will be the go-to person for HR data requests and where necessary you will present the data and insights to HR representatives, managers and leaders.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
HR System
Ensure that the HRIS MI and reporting functionality is fully utilised e.g., dashboard maintenance, reporting & analysis of all HR systems.
Drive improvements to the functionality of systems, continually strengthening data security and governance processes to ensure they meet the changing needs of the business.
Assist with creating process maps and user guides to increase user proficiency and provide expert support with system-related queries and reporting updates to the organisation, owning the regular review and update of the maps to ensure they remain current.
Provide support and upskilling as needed to HR Business Partners, managers, leaders and employees to enable future self-sufficiency of the HR system, in particular MI and reporting functionality of the system.
Maintain and develop the integrity of people data by completing regular data checks and data cleansing of the HR system, handling sensitive data in line with company policies, and following best practice IT controls and governance standards.
Ensure data compliance of the HR system in line with GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
HR Data MI & Reporting
Design, develop and maintain HR MI reports and dashboards to meet the evolving needs of the business, using Excel, Power BI and other reporting tools, automating where possible.
Draw insights from the data, make recommendations and communicate these insights to the HR Business Partners to support decisions within their business areas.
Produce the monthly HR pack for the HR Team and Board and quarterly packs for various Executive Committees and external reports (ASTA) ensuring accurate and timely presentation and distribution.
Provide data and analysis to support regular and ad hoc key HR analytics as required, including talent priorities, business reviews, turnover/retention, headcount reporting, engagement, sickness absence and regulatory documents (e.g. Gender Pay Gap Reporting)
Generate reports to support the DE&I strategy and action plan, including any benchmarking exercises.
Create and generate complex ad-hoc reports requested by HR team members, managers and leaders across the business.
Work with our HRBPs creating reports and MI to assist partnering with the business, highlighting trends, risks etc.
Support requests for HR data/reporting to assist with external audits.
Projects
Assist the Senior Reward Consultant and payroll team in the annual salary and bonus review as required with reporting, analytics, and data checking.
Support the Senior Reward Consultant with reporting, analysis and ad hoc project work as required.
Support the bi-annual performance review processes (mid and end of year), which will include training, supporting, ensuring completion. Additional tasks will include processing documentation (e.g., for promotions), reporting on review metrics and working with employees and team leaders to ensure completion.
