We are partnering with a key client who is seeking a Java Support Engineer to join their growing team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working in secure managed services or production support environments, possess a strong understanding of Linux-based systems and CI/CD pipelines, and be confident supporting both application-level issues and platform-level challenges.
You will be embedded within a collaborative team responsible for:
- Maintaining, monitoring, and improving live services within a classified environment
- Supporting build, test, and deployment pipelines across multiple development teams
- Troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and responding promptly to incidents
- Managing infrastructure using modern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tooling and container platforms
- Ensuring high system availability and responsiveness across multiple data centre environments
Technical Environment Includes:
- Java, Maven, NPM for application builds
- Cypress for automated testing
- Git for source control
- Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure configuration
- OpenShift, RHEL/CentOS, and Docker for deployment targets
- InfluxDB and Grafana for monitoring and observability
- Oracle (or equivalent RDBMS), AMQP, and S3-compatible object storage systems
