Senior Developer

Overview

We are working with a down-to-earth company that gives its dev team autonomy to lead changes and make a significant impact on the platform. We have recently brought all development in-house and are looking for a Senior Developer with strong TypeScript experience to join the team.

You\’ll be hands-on in development and will help peers and junior team members grow. Excellent communication skills are essential to clearly articulate technical principles and explanations of architecture and patterns. The role is mostly remote, with occasional visits to the Bristol office. Ideally, you would visit Bristol once a week, but there is some flexibility. You must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Bristol.

Tech Stack and Experience

• Required/MUST HAVE: Strong TypeScript experience
• Preferred: Node.js or Angular experience, with an interest in AWS and MongoDB
• Bonus: Experience with GitHub, Time Series Data, PHP, MySQL, or IoT

Responsibilities

One of the first tasks will be to support the rewrite and modernisation of the platform originally built in PHP, adding microservices. While a small part of the offshore team will handle bug fixes and other issues, the focus will be on writing clean, efficient code. This is a genuine greenfield project, offering a unique opportunity to join a smart and collaborative team.
