Base pay range Direct message the job poster from Dura Composites Role Overview The role involves engaging extensively with clients for at least two-thirds of the workweek, leading sales efforts for premium non-combustible decking and related solutions across the UK, with a focus on London and the Southeast. The primary goal is to quickly secure new specifications and increase sales for balcony and terrace decking, collaborating with contractors, fabricators, housebuilders, and developers for new and remediation projects. There is also an opportunity to engage with clients for a secondary range of specialist riser flooring products. The strategic aim is to double sales within three years through new business development and strengthening relationships with existing clients, especially those requiring non-combustible fire-safe solutions following regulatory changes post-Grenfell. The role offers opportunities for site visits, customer training, attending industry events, and potential future leadership responsibilities, broadening industry knowledge and network. Responsibilities Proactively establish and develop relationships with potential clients, seeking new projects to expand sales opportunities. Utilize systems like Glenigan and other resources to research and qualify leads, converting them into orders. Participate in on-site visits, providing technical insights and tailored assistance. Offer specialized advice on product applications to ensure informed client decisions. Manage leads, opportunities, and sales orders efficiently using CRM systems. Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to enhance sales performance. Maintain effective communication with architects and contractors throughout projects. Build strong relationships with colleagues, fostering a collaborative work environment. Provide prompt and accurate quotes and samples, ensuring high customer service standards. Oversee sales order processing meticulously, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client expectations. Develop a comprehensive understanding of market trends, competitors, and buyer behaviors to inform strategic decisions. Represent Dura Composites at trade shows and industry events to promote the brand. Engage in feedback and continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Present CPDs and company information to architects, design teams, and clients to gain specifications. Attend site meetings, surveys, and visits as required. Organize and host customer and contractor training sessions at the Dura Training Centre. Participate in expos and supplier engagement events. Manage strategic customer accounts with documented plans. Read design drawings and perform take-offs for quotations. Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Clear understanding of company and departmental vision. Proven success in selling to primary contractors, fabricators, or developers. Knowledge of EWS1 failures and related transactions. Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. In-depth knowledge of decking, landscape, or similar building products. Entrepreneurial mindset. Ability to work independently and proactively. Motivated by commission incentives. Experience with sales to landscape contractors is preferred. Excellent judgment, organization, and decision-making skills. Strong active listening and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Rootstock, and Glenigan system is desirable.
