Our client is seeking a highly capable IT Support Technician to join their Group IT / Field Services team in London. This role serves as the primary point of IT contact in the UK, providing high-quality end-to-end support to local users, including VIP stakeholders, and ensuring seamless operation of IT systems and meeting room technologies. Based primarily in the London head office (4 days per week), the position requires occasional travel to local offices or project sites.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for IT issues, delivering support aligned with IT standards and SLAs
- Monitor and manage support tickets using ServiceNow, ensuring timely resolution or escalation
- Provide VIP onsite support and maintain a strong presence in the London office
- Support meeting and conference room equipment, with a focus on Microsoft Teams-enabled rooms
- Promote and guide users on the use of the IT Service Portal and self-service resources
- Manage users and devices through Intune, Active Directory, and ServiceNow Asset Management
- Order, configure, and deploy IT hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Maintain strong relationships with business leadership and internal stakeholders
- Ensure accurate documentation and keep knowledgebase articles up to date
- Collaborate with global IT teams on technical escalations and project initiatives
- Cover Service Desk responsibilities for European branches when needed
- Provide feedback to IT leadership on service impact and user experience
Skills/Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an on-site IT support role or similar
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and ticketing systems
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, prioritise, and resolve technical issues independently
- Confident and professional when supporting senior leadership and VIP users
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with videoconferencing technologies, particularly Microsoft Teams Rooms
- Experience with Intune and IT asset management tools
- ITIL certification preferred
- Ability to travel to other sites within the UK as needed
