The Investment Manager will have a background in food and Agtech and will play a pivotal role within a dynamic and well-established investment team. The position offers the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle, from due diligence and execution to portfolio company support and eventual exit. Over time, the successful candidate will progress towards leading transactions.
- Investment Execution & Analysis: Conduct rigorous due diligence on potential investments, including market sizing, competitor analysis, and financial performance. Develop and maintain financial models and valuation analyses. Prepare investment committee materials and transaction documentation. Support negotiations, term sheet development, and deal structuring.
- Portfolio Management: Assist in the active management of portfolio companies, including strategic input and operational performance tracking. Support fundraising, M&A, and partnering initiatives on behalf of portfolio companies. Participate in exit planning and transaction processes.
- Research & Strategy: Monitor key sector trends in food and agriculture, and identify emerging investment opportunities. Contribute to internal thematic research and knowledge-building efforts.
- External Engagement: Represent the investment team at industry events and conferences. Develop and maintain a strong network across the agtech and food investment ecosystem.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to the organization’s internal policies and external regulatory standards. Operate in alignment with a values-driven and long-term investment philosophy.
Experience & Credentials: 5+ years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, strategy consulting, or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling and investment analysis. Exposure to the food, agriculture, or sustainability sectors.
Skills & Attributes: Commercially astute with a structured, analytical mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written. Capable of building trust-based relationships across a wide range of stakeholders. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
