We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Fund Accountant for our client who are an award-winning international real estate investment and development firm. This role will be specifically working on a number of pan-European real estate funds.
THE ROLE responsibilities of the Real Estate Fund Accountant include:
- Working on pan-European real estate funds and reviewing management accounts prepared by third party administrators.
- Producing SPV accounts for real estate.
- Producing consolidated accounts.
- Preparing GAAP adjustments, cash flows, distributions and liquidity forecasts.
- Performing NAV reconciliations.
- Preparing, managing and monitoring budgets, and analysing budget performance results against budgeted figures.
- Maintaining and reconciling project expenditures and project cash tracker.
- Preparing recommendations to trustee for any capital drawdowns and distributions.
- Working with tax advisors and reviewing tax computations (UK VAT return and CIS returns) and updating cash flow modelling.
- Completing quarterly investor reports with performance metrics and detailed analysis of recent performance.
- Organising payments runs with external service providers.
THE PERSON skills and requirements for the Real Estate Fund Accountant are:
- Must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 3+ years of real estate fund accounting experience.
- Experience / understanding of double entry and consolidations.
- Understanding of real estate.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Self-starter with ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Good team player and communicator with strong analytical skills.
- A positive attitude and flexible mindset in order to work closely with other teams.
